CommHIT Symposium at
Kennedy Space Center
What an extraordinary experience! Last week, Maresa and I had the privilege of attending — and speaking at — the CommHIT Annual Symposium at the Kennedy Space Center. The event brought together innovators and leaders from healthcare, technology, aerospace, education, and government, all exploring one powerful theme: mastering co-opetition in a rapidly changing world.
Standing on a stage surrounded by so much ingenuity and forward-thinking energy was both humbling and exhilarating. I shared my talk, Coloring Outside the Lines: The Art of Collaboration in a Competitive World, and was deeply moved by the conversations that followed. From hospital administrators to cybersecurity experts to aerospace engineers, so many attendees resonated with the idea that creativity and collaboration are essential ingredients in shaping our shared future.
One of the most inspiring parts of the symposium was hearing about the emerging frontier of space health — and yes, even the possibility of hotels in space within the next five years. It’s the kind of vision that makes you pause and think: If this is what’s on the horizon, how can we challenge ourselves to imagine more boldly right here on Earth?
I left the event energized, full of new connections, ideas, and possibilities. My heartfelt thanks to CommHIT — especially CEO Dr. Kendra Siler and her exceptional team — for creating such a thoughtful, inspiring gathering. Their commitment to innovation, community health, and cross-sector collaboration is not only impressive, it’s contagious.
I’m grateful to have been part of it and excited to see where these conversations lead next.
